Choosing outfits is part of the fun! I have an extensive client closet with various styles, sizes, and colors that you are welcome to use. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your personal style and comfort level to select pieces that make you feel amazing. You can bring your own lingerie, robes, oversized sweaters, button-down shirts, or even your partner’s shirt – whatever makes you feel confident and beautiful. When is the best time to book a Maternity session in Louisville?
For Maternity sessions, the ideal time is typically between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. During this window, your baby bump is beautifully defined, but you’re usually still feeling relatively comfortable for posing. Of course, every pregnancy is unique, so we can adjust based on how you’re feeling. It’s always best to book a few months in advance to ensure availability. It depends on the session type! Family sessions are designed for the whole family, capturing your connections. For Maternity sessions, partners and older siblings are absolutely welcome and encouraged to participate! Boudoir sessions are typically focused solely on you, creating an intimate and personal experience, though couples boudoir can sometimes be arranged upon request. How much does a photography session cost?
The investment for each type of session varies depending on the specific package and products you choose. I offer a range of options to suit different needs and budgets. What is your availability and how far in advance should I book?
My studio sessions are typically offered Monday through Friday, usually starting in the morning around 8:30 AM. Weekend availability is limited and books up quickly, especially during peak seasons. I recommend booking your session at least 2-3 months in advance, particularly for Maternity and Boudoir shoots, to secure your preferred date. The best way to check availability is to contact me directly or schedule a call.
How do I book a session with you?
Booking your session is easy! The first step is to reach out via the Contact page or schedule a quick phone call. We’ll chat about the type of session you’re interested in, discuss your vision, go over pricing and availability, and answer any questions you have. Once you’re ready to book, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for the session retainer fee to officially reserve your date!
The Session Experience
How long does a typical photography session last?
Session times vary depending on the type of shoot. A Boudoir experience, including hair/makeup and the shoot itself, typically lasts around 3-4 hours. Maternity and Senior Portrait sessions usually run about 1-2 hours. Family sessions can range from 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing time for kids to warm up and capture genuine interactions. Cake Smash sessions are generally around an hour. We’ll confirm the expected duration when you book.
Do you offer professional hair and makeup services?
Yes, absolutely! Professional hair and makeup artistry is included with my Boudoir sessions to ensure you feel fully pampered and look your absolute best. My talented team of licensed stylists will work with you to create a look that enhances your natural beauty. For other session types like Maternity or Senior Portraits, hair and makeup can often be added on. Let’s discuss your needs when you book your session!
After Your Session
What happens after the photography session?
After your session, the magic continues! For Boudoir sessions, we have a same-day reveal and ordering appointment. You’ll head out for a bit while I prepare your images, and when you return, we’ll view them together. You’ll select your favorite photos, and we’ll decide on the perfect prints, albums, or other products to showcase them. For other sessions like Maternity or Family, we’ll schedule a separate viewing and ordering appointment shortly after your session.
Will my images be shared online or publicly?
Your privacy is my utmost priority, especially for sensitive sessions like Boudoir. Absolutely no images are shared publicly without your explicit written permission. When you fill out your contract, there is a specific section where you choose to either allow or not allow your images to be used for my portfolio, website, or social media. The decision is entirely yours, and I respect your choice completely.
What kind of photo products do you offer?
I believe in the power of printed photographs and offer a curated selection of high-quality, archival products to showcase your beautiful images. This includes stunning heirloom albums, elegant folio boxes, gallery-quality wall art (like canvases and metal prints), and fine art prints. During your ordering appointment, you’ll be able to see and feel the different product options, and I’ll help you choose the perfect way to preserve and display your memories. Digital files are also available with certain collections or for purchase.
